Wife and I usually dine here at least once per Dallas staycation. Easy walk from The Magnolia hotel.Fast, friendly service. Good food, mostly made from scratch. Inexpensive, good house Chardonnay. I recommend this restaurant.
Great staff. Good custom pizzas. Christina is an excellent bartender. This pizza can be a little pricy, but the quality is good.I know a lot of the downtown locals come here to hang out, and it is a great place to relax after work. Very friendly atmosphere, a great place to unwind after work.
It was awful! We waited for our food for 1 and half, (food was okay, the chicken alfredo had alot of water sitting at the bottom of it) plus I got up to get my own refills 3 times because our waiter was MIA for most the 2 hours we were there. The last time I went up to the bar to get more water BOTH managers stood right beside me discussing co workers and stuff that had been happening. When I brought it up to the managers their excuse was they were under alot of stress that night and they didnt know anything was wrong because they do NOT check customers sitting at tables! It was one of the worst experiences, at a restaurant that you have to make a reservation at!! Will NOT go back!!
So our small group of 4 walks in. Ordered 2 beers and 4 waters, and we all laughed at a joke. Owner came up to us and told us that we needed to calm down and not disturb the customers. Very rude, and the owner is a very poor person. Don’t go there. Thx Laura was awesome tho.
Good food at an affordable price. Not bad for a quick lunch.
We found this place on our last day in Dallas. It was by far the best food we had all week. It will be my first stop next time.
Nice little spot in downtown Dallas. Service was quick, dining areas and restrooms were clean and the menu had quite a few options. I went here for dinner and got a tortellini dish. Nicely prepared and came with a salad with house made dressing and delicious hot bread.
Portions weak overpriced. I realize I am in downtown Dallas, but 40 bucks for me and my son to eat a light dinner it was nowhere near good enough.
I foresee many more lunch trips to Porta Di Roma for myself, and I'm glad to have them as a new food neighbor!
Visited on a Saturday at lunch. Quiet on the weekends in downtown. Just 2 blocks from our hotel so worth a try. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All meals come with house salad and bread. Oh my, some of the best bread ever. Salad was nothing exciting. I had the homemade lasagna and it was flavorful and cheesy, nice size serving, I couldn’t finish it all. Husband had the Bolognese and added Italian sausages, he loved it. I tried a bite of the Italian sausage because he raved about how good it was, and wow! Amazing. Reasonable prices, would definitely go back
This was delicious. Chicken definitely. Can’t remember the name of the dish. Great place. Nice location too.
Horrible service and bad food. Took over an hour to get basic pasta and chick parm dishes to my family, and we were at the place early (5:30?)Don’t waste your time.
Top class restaurant and the staff is super friendly and professional. Five stars!
Loved the service and the quality of food. Safe order of pasta, but the marinara sauce house made i guess and was lifting the taste one level up sure. Good sized portion for dinner order as well.
Rude owner. Food was aweful and the service was terrible! Save time don't stop herr to eat. Plenty of better places in the area with fresh food and better sercice.
My wife and I come to Dallas from Oklahoma city almost every month to eat here, this food is the best Italian place in the world. The owner is awesome, the staff is incredible. This is a place no matter where you live please eat here, you won't regret it.
Fantastic food. Service service was good.
Get the vodka sauce, it is excellent. The bar tender knows how to pour a good drink!
Very nice quality food, very well prepared, & not super expensive. Given how delicious our appetizers & entrées were, I really wish I had tried the shrimp scampi. I bet they'd have done it perfectly.
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful Italian food. I definitely would recommend
The waiter didn’t come to our table forever, he forgot one of our orders, never came back to check on us or offer more wine, didn’t even mention dessert. The worst service, food was mediocre 3 hours for two pizzas and two glasses of wine and they weren’t busy. So sad as we both would have liked another glass of wine and probably dessert but we couldn’t take the service any longer.
Well worth the money everything taste like it is very fresh and homemade. Would recommend to anyone that comes to the downtown Dallas Texas area. Waitress was top notch all staff was very friendly! Will be back
The food was fabulous. The service was not. It took forever to get anything. Even drinks. The sad part was that it was only us and another couple of people in the place and it was still that slow. I'd hate to see what happens when it's busy!
So good to be back at this great location!
You be the judge? All dough... very little fillings! And the pics show all the fillings were in the OTHER half of the so called calzone! Listen! When your neighbors go out of their way to support you, you'd better be sure you get it right!
Server was very attentive, food was amazing. Everything I got was delicious. I recommend getting the caprese salad, the mozzarella melted in my mouth and was so fresh. Drinks took a few minutes to hit our table, but bartender was busy so understandable. Will be back again for sure. Scenery is amazing right in the heart of downtown .
Perfect dinner to wrap up a long week, bartender Lo is excellent and a pleasure to talk with..
Service was fine food was terrible Pizza tasted old and Bland they brought out some Parmesan cheese that was like some old stuff mixed with new stuff you can see it in the jar they don't have shrimp scampi or most of the things on the menu during lunch I would not recommend this place honestly Domino's is way better and cheaper $9 for 2 slices of pizza and a drink and the pizza tastes disgusting was not worth it
The gnocchi with chicken had a good flavored sauce, but the chicken was rubbery and awful. I've never had chicken with this kind of texture.
All our dishes were well presented and well cooked. I loved the flavor and the time it took to get to our table. The server was very polite and very active. Portions are good and the price is really good for the area. Will def recommend it to my co workers and friends....
Quiet, conveniently located Italian restaurant. The food was good but I've had better Italian. The house dressing was delicious.
Waited over 30 minutes to be served because they forgot about us. Meanwhile, the table directly next to us was taken care of with no problem. Our server was new and unknowingly placed his fingers on our plate and reached over our plates several times. Food was amazing just wished they trained on server etiquette because it was horrible.
I’ve been so many times at this restaurant !! Always fresh food, friendly staff and nice mood !! Good location
Great service and pretty good food. Enjoyed their vegetable alfredo plate and they were generous with delicious bread.
Wow, very impressive. I was blown away by the food and service. Guaranteed to be a wonderful dining experience.
excellent food and great welcoming staff!
This was the best Italian place we have ever been to. The bread was incredible, service friendly and the spumoni divine!!!!
Food was great, our waitress Lauren was awesome, nice place to stop by.
Nice place Good space.Good food - nothing you would photograph. Don't do the Greek salad - boring, sparse of actual Greek ingredients and near flavorless.Perfect spot & atmosphere for a quick meal on your way to an event.
Excellent spot, Lauren aka LO behind the bar served fantastic drinks as always. I had perfectly cooked meat lovers pizza by the best pizza chef in town Mr. Vinny the man! Will be back!
Stopped in here because it was close to my hotel. So glad I did, got stuffed meatballs and chicken with eggplant. It was so flavorful I couldn't believe it and the portions were huge. Friendly bartender with Italian accent, could have been in Italy. Outstanding all around.
My host was stoned my waitress was wonderful! This is not bruschetta!
Great spot close to convention center! Lauren was our bartender/server, and she was phenomenal. Food was DELICIOUS. All made fresh and had fantastic flavor. Really fair price for the food too, especially downtown.
Restaurant was understaffed when we were in town for a conference, and I think our server was even helping in the kitchen, but he was absolutely amazing. He let us know upfront that the food would take a while which was nice so we could set our expectations. He was hustling, but every time he came by our table, he was super positive and chatted a bit. The food was all great as well - our table had lasagna, the chicken piccata, a calzone, and a couple pizzas.
Visiting Dallas from Virginia, this place has THE BEST 💯 STEAK CALZONE I've never had
Stopped in for a To-Go order and a few drinks at the bar... such a cool place! Bartender was friendly, food was great! Definitely need to check this place out!!! 😀🤘
Hubby was not blown away by the cheese pizza. I enjoyed my Greek salad and house merlot. People watching here is the best
I love the ambience of this place. The food can be hit or miss, the pizza is often times the best choose. I eat here often.Last week I tried the margarita, it was okay. My granddaughter loves the pasta.
Best Italian spot downtown! Lunch prices are awesome and the penne with chicken is like heaven, regardless of sauce. Authentic, and the guy with the black glasses is hilarious! I eat here once a week since 2013.
Place is mad litty. Lo is the coolest. The pizza smacks.
